playing poker and teaching science: Things to remember 2011
My Photo
Location: Indiana, United States

I'm a middle school science teacher, wrestling coach, poker player, scuba diver, aikido black belt, amateur writer, and student of life. In the past I have tried to give back a little by volunteering at a children's home in Belmopan, Belize, Central America. I also love Frosted Flakes. I have taken a year sabbatical from my teaching position in order to sail the Caribbean. Does that sound crazy to you?

Things to remember 2011

I almost forgot my yearly "things to remember" post! The top 10 in no particular order:
1. I lost my Father, the best man I have ever known.
2. Training with the Marines in San Diego.
3. Cabo San Lucas vacation (sailing with Captain Bob).
4. Two weeks in Hawaii.
5. Christmas break in Cozumel (swimming with the dolphins).
6. Learning to spear fish!
7. Attended game seven of the World Series.
8. A concussion from fish taco food poisoning.
9. Spring break playing poker and soaking up sun by a pool in Las Vegas.
10. Hiked to the top of Diamond Head.
